Vesper slumped down on the office cafeteria's chair, placing his tray on the table with enough force that his soda can toppled over. The black bearcat grabbed it before it could roll away as well, and carefully opened it. Unsurprisingly, the drink sizzled as a good portion was expelled from the can and onto the tray and food, and the binturong sighed.
He prodded the cola-covered food with a fork, but even if the little accident hadn't drenched it, he didn't really have an appetite today. Vesper felt something bump his long tail, and a sharp 'whoa!' reached his round, tufty ears. He turned around to see a woman who had tripped and almost fallen.
"Hey! Keep your tails away from corridors–" The goat turned to face the bearcat, and she shined a bright smile at him. "Oh, hi Vesper!"
"H-Hey..." The binturong replied. The smaller caprine with brown and white fur was Tigress – a nickname that normally resulted in no small amount of confusion. She was a temporary manager for HR or some other area, working for a few months in this company to build more of her curriculum, and she was his friend, kind of.
"Do you mind if I sit with you?" Tigress asked. Outside of the coworkers she had to interact with, Vesper was really the only person she'd spend time with in the company. Ever since he was sent out to help set up her printer – the bread-and-butter of IT –, she would call on him to spend a few coffee breaks together every now and then, usually with the confident goat talking about her ambitions for the future and the taciturn bearcat agreeing with monosyllabic remarks.
"Y-Yeah... Sorry about the tail."
"Oh, don't worry about it! It's my fault, I was distracted." She was remarkably happy for someone who almost had an accident. Vesper wondered if it was because of him, but he was too shy to ask, if it meant he could've sounded like he was insinuating something...
Instead, he noticed that there was no meal next to his, in front of her chair. "Where's your tray?"
"I don't eat here, I usually go out to a restaurant. But I've been meaning to try out this new diet, so I'm not going out for lunch today."
What was she doing in the cafeteria, then? Well, it wasn't important, Vesper thought. But he knew that Tigress was serious about this dieting and fitness stuff, even if he didn't care for it or couldn't afford to do it. Even with her suit on, it was clear that she had a fit body, so she probably went to the gym regularly and stuff like that.
"Is something wrong, Vesper?" She had a concerned look.
"Huh? N-No... Why?"
"Well, you haven't touched your lunch, and half of your Tums Up is on your plate with your food instead of your cup. And your face has a bunch of gray hairs..."
"I-I always had gray hairs..." He twitched his white whiskers flusteredly.
Her fingers nervously rubbed one of her sawed-off horns. "But you look sad! Will you promise to tell me if something's wrong? It's not work-related, is it?"
"No... It's my roommate." He sighed once more. "I shouted at him. I don't like shouting."
"I can't even imagine you shouting, out of all people! What did he do that was so serious?"
The soft spoken bearcat started listing things off his head. "It's nothing big, but... He doesn't do dishes. Or take out the trash. This one time, there was beer all over my bed sheet. And another time, he accidentally dropped my laptop in the bathtub. Yesterday, he forgot to flush again. I almost vomited! And s-so I shouted at– But maybe I just overreacted...! I should apologize..."
Tigress paused to think for a bit. "Wow... I've never had a roommate, but to me, it sounds like he's bad. Can't you just kick him out?"
"No! He's not bad. He's just...lazy. And he doesn't do what I ask, ever. And I had to cover his rent, but just this month... But I don't think it's fair to kick him out. O-Or that I shout at him."
"From what you've told me, this guy probably deserves more than just shouting. Who does he think he is, by the way? Do you have a pic of him?"
"Oh, hang on a second. I think I have his social media here." The binturong pulled out his phone from his jeans, and tapped around a few screens. "...There. His name is Matt."
The goat was handed the phone and she inspected the photo of a male caracal, wearing sunglasses but no shirt, his exposed tan fur contrasting with the sandy beach in the background. "Matt, huh... Is he bigger than you?"
"No. He's about your size... Smaller even, maybe." He grabbed a bite with his fork, and promptly spat it out when he realized it tasted like cola.
"Is that so...?" She had a glint in her horizontal eye. "Well, I think that Matt needs to be taught a lesson. And I think I can help with that."
Vesper raised his palms. "N-No, there's no need! I can solve it alone. I don't want to bother you–"
"Oh, don't worry! You're not bothering me, I want to help you! And besides, there's something for me in it."
Tigress was smirking, but the black bearcat was confused. She leaned closer to him, and began whispering.
"So, I mentioned how there's this new diet that I've been meaning to try out? Well, how do I put this..."

Vesper unlocked the door to his apartment and rushed inside, almost closing it on his long tail. From his panicked expression, it looked like he had seen a ghost. It had been hours, but he still couldn't believe what he'd heard, how it was possible – even less so, what he'd agreed to!
"Matt, are you here? I need to–"
"Oh, hey dude, you're home." The caracal was sitting lazily on the couch, watching TV while eating from a plate. His eyes didn't look away from the screen as he spoke. At least this once, he was wearing clothes when Vesper came back home.
"There's something I need to tell you, my friend is–" He stopped himself as something on the floor caught his attention.
"Hm? What is it?"
"You left your underwear on the floor again..." The bearcat mumbled.
"What? Speak louder." He was still completely engrossed in the TV.
"Y-Your... Your clothes are on the floor. A-And I have a visitor coming over."
The tan cat turned his green eyes to the ground for a moment. "Right. My bad. I'll pick it up later."
No, he won't. It had been a few months since he'd moved in with his new roommate, but even though Matt was a cool person and chill friend, he was terrible to live with.
"By the way, this pasta is great. Where did you order this from?"
"Wha–? Hey, that's my dinner! I made it for me!"
"Oh, uh, my bad. At least you can make more, right?" He offered as an excuse, but Vesper wouldn't take it.
"Dude, we just talked about this yesterday! I get home, I'm stressed from work, the least you can do is be a good roommate!" He did his best to avoid yelling, but already the caracal was causing him to lose his patience.
"I'm working on it! This time I made sure I flushed the toilet." Matt gloated.
"That's not the only–"
It was always excuses and half-hearted apologies from the feline, and fighting him felt pointless. He stormed off towards the corridor that separated their rooms from the living room.
"Hey, Vesper. Wasn't there something you wanted to tell me?"
The binturong looked him straight in the eyes. "Your underwear. Don't leave it there." He left and slammed the door of his room, deciding to leave his roommate to his fate.
"Fine, dude." Matt scoffed, leaned over to grab the underwear, and tossed it away from the hall to the other direction, before going back to watching TV.

In truth, the bearcat wasn't any less nervous when he heard the doorbell ring. The black-furred viverrid's tail swished anxiously as he shuffled towards the door – not expecting the caracal sitting on the couch, who was now checking his phone, to answer it. The feline asked him something about borrowing his charger, but he paid him no mind.
Vesper was still wearing the shirt and jeans from work, but the caprine on the other side had lighter makeup and a fancy overcoat instead of her usual office getup. "H-Hey, Tigress..." He welcomed, and his feline roommate turned his head.
"Hi, Vespy!" The nickname was new, the binturong thought; the goat seemed even more energetic than before, and didn't show any signs of anxiety like he did. "I like the place! Didn't know you lived quite a drive away from the office, though."
"I normally go by train–"
"Oh, so you're 'Tigress', huh?" The caracal said in a disconcertingly flirty tone, and extended a hand. "Y'know, 'Vespy' here talked a lot about you." No, he didn't. "Name's Matt."
She shook his hand. "So you're Matt! He also told me all about you. You're taller than I imagined!"
As the two exchanged polite laughs, the bearcat silently blushed under his coat of fur, realizing every implication in Tigress's words.
"I was sure that you were, well, a tigress. But I can see that you're a very pretty lady still."
"Aw, thank you!" She smiled over the backhanded compliment, and Vesper didn't know if she was being polite or oblivious.
"I guess you're the least cat-like person out of the three of us, actually. Aren't bearcats closer to cats than bears and dogs, or something? Vesper?"
The viverrid felt nervous being put in the spotlight. "K-Kinda–"
"So why the name Tigress? Not to be rude or anything," the shameless caracal continued, "but isn't it, like, culturally insensitive against us felines?"
The binturong was annoyed by the insinuation of 'us felines'. Even more to the point, though: Was Matt getting angry that a single word he'd overheard a minute ago had misled him into thinking that she would be another cat? He couldn't have considered flirting with a random woman on their first meeting, could he? Vesper looked at Tigress, and she smiled back to him, as if she wanted to say that she could handle this situation.
"I can explain, but can I come in and sit down? I have just gotten back from the gym and I don't want to collapse from exhaustion and hunger." The emphasis that she put on that last word made the bearcat dizzy as blood drained away from his brain and into his cheeks.
"Sure, make yourself comfortable–" Matt pointed at a chair, and the goat simply went ahead and removed her overcoat before sitting down, revealing the spandex leggings and sports bra that she was wearing underneath. Certainly her gym clothes, or most likely a spare set that she'd brought just for the occasion...
Her hands pointed at the black markings over her white fur and toned muscles of her ribs, back, and belly. "These aren't real stripes, I've had them tattooed. But I've gotten them for the same reason I had my horns sawed off. I was born a goat, but that doesn't mean that I'm at the bottom of the food chain – in a Manner of speaking. I've had to fight to reach my place at the top, but most importantly, I had to believe in myself. So I got these stripes and got people to call me Tigress, that I might earn that title one day."
Vesper had heard the story a few times before, but had never actually seen her tattoos until then. His roommate, meanwhile, had his jaw dropped for over a minute now, before he regained a semblance of composure and spoke. "Wow... You may not be a tiger, but you sure sound fierce. Like my type of girl."
"You're sweet..." She was taking advantage of Matt's dumbfoundedness, it seemed. "I would love to talk more, but I'm starving and we were about to get dinner."
The bearcat was getting more nervous, and he wrung his paws together, realizing how much cold sweat they had already.
Matt smirked. "Oh, is that so? Then why don't you ditch this dude and we go to a fancy restaurant? I know just the place~."
"Dude, what...?!" Vesper whispered to himself in cringe and frustration, rubbing his eyes. "You forgot how you just ate all my pasta for dinner...?"
"Actually, there's something that you and Vespy can help me with." She stood back up. "Matt, why don't you get undressed, but keep your underwear on?"
Both men dropped their jaws at what she said. The caracal, especially, was giddy with excitement. "For real, Vesper?! I didn't know you wanted me to join a threesome! Though I don't swing that way, so don't expect me to touch you or anything, dude."
The binturong tried to reply, but Tigress interrupted him with a raised hand, and spoke to Matt. "Don't worry about him. Just focus on me...after you strip." Was she being flirtatious as a charade, or was she getting excited about it?
She didn't need to ask a third time, as the cat tossed his crocs, shorts, and T-shirt behind the couch, only sporting a white underwear with a clearly erect penis inside. "Are we gonna do it right here? When are you gonna strip down too?" He asked.
"Just close your eyes for me."
The caracal uttered an 'ooh!' in delight and obeyed, expecting a nice surprise. Tigress went behind of him and knelt, staring intently at his tail as she convinced herself to go through with this. Vesper was simply frozen – except for the prehensile appendage behind him nervously tapping the ground –, not knowing what else to do but watch.
Her hands grabbed the tip of Matt's tan-furred tail, careful not to tug it too hard, and pointed it at the parting lips. The bushy, coarse fur touched her salivating tongue, and she brought her head forward to suck on it. The caracal kept his mouth and eyes shut, intrigued by the sensation of the goat's teeth lightly scraping his tail as the fur tickled the roof of her mouth. He kept it still as the underside was tasted by the herbivore, and an audible 'gluk!' brought the first inch or so into her throat. Matt now moved his hands away from his face and looked behind, seeing Tigress essentially blowing his tail like a longer dick.
He began wondering out loud. "Huh... I think I've heard of this before, it's–"
"C-Close your eyes." Vesper demanded softly. He was doing as Tigress had instructed him earlier today, following the script she'd relayed, to make sure that Matt obeyed her at all times, and force him if he didn't.
"Okay, fine. I didn't know you were into kinky shit like this, dude. Not judging tho." He felt an uncomfortable tug on his tail. "Easy, my Tigress."
The goat moved forward a bit, angling her head as essentially a tube around that tail. Eventually, she'd have to be more forceful, but for now, Matt's cooperation was aiding her in their goal.
"Oohh, it's hot..." The caracal commented, now that a fourth of his tail was past the lips. Vesper wondered if Matt referred to her insides being warm or the arousal from the situation. He figured it likely meant both when the feline's hand intruded the band of his underwear, starting to paw himself off. He seemed to be enjoying this 'punishment' way too much for Vesper's taste.
"S-Stop that!" The bearcat complained, and Matt obliged.
"You're no fun, dude! Live a little!" He laughed a bit, and felt another tug which prompted him to inch backwards. "Alright, if I can't watch, then you tell me. Is she really swallowing my tail?"
He paused for a bit. "Y-Yeah."
"Ha ha, nice. You think she can take the whole thing?"
"She seems to think so..."
And she certainly acted confidently. More and more of his tail disappeared from Vesper's view, the goat clearly taking her time to gobble it up. Her tummy growled, pleading for any sort of nutrition after Tigress's fast and exercise, and the obstruction in her throat would do. There wasn't any perceptible bulge on her neck since the appendage wasn't thick enough, but it must be going down that way as she continued to snake more and more towards the base of the tail.
Matt asked again while covering his eyes. "Do you think I'm in your stomach already or not? Not sure if that's dangerous."
"Mm-mm." The negative hums were the best that Tigress could manage. She kept her progress, trying to move her whole body around the furry appendage to minimize tugging him too strongly yet. Less than a fourth of the distance remained between her lips and the base, but she paused with a muffled cough for a second. Had she gagged? She strained to pull off a swallow, and a powerful 'glp!' once again brought the caracal's hind a little bit closer to her.
"Oh! It's definitely in your stomach now...!" Matt exclaimed in surprise. Vesper wondered how it must have felt that he could tell. The goat didn't wait, now that her stomach complained once it had a taste of her meal, and got up on her knees to deep-throat the rest of tail.
Not a moment later, Tigress encased the whole thing, her lips meeting the base of Matt's spine. Her tongue flailed over his fabric-covered buttocks as she attempted to swallow more of the caracal, but even moving her head from side to side, she was struggling to open her mouth more. But she was still hungry and determined, so she groaned to call Vesper's attention, then darted her eyes to the sofa next to her.
He understood what she wanted. "O-Okay Matt, I'm gonna move you. You'll sit on the couch so this is easier for Tigress."
The feline opened his eyes. "Umm, don't you think I'm deep enough– Yelp!" The bearcat grabbed his shoulders and pushed him horizontally towards the armrest of the sofa, and he apprehensively shuffled to comply, until he was sitting on the flat surface. His concealed butt was just off the edge, pointing towards the cushion where Tigress had moved onto, along with the tail she was pinned to, which meant that she was lying right below him.
The goat then pulled his hips slightly towards her, so that his weight was now beginning to shift onto her head. She swallowed more while rocking her face to the sides, trying to stretch her lips around the caracal's pelvis. The gravity and pull of her esophagus over his tail seemed to help a bit, but Tigress was still struggling. Vesper moved in front of Matt to help her, pressing on the sides of his hip to squeeze the glutes into her mouth to help things along.
"Okay guys, v-very funny... But shouldn't you– ack!" Matt's butt fell a bit more into that gaping maw. "You should s-stop before she chokes or s-something...!"
The caracal was getting suspicious, so Tigress increased her efforts before he could fight himself off from it. She continued to separate her jaws as her prey's cross-section included more of his abdomen and thighs, his cheeks fully inside hers, his tail almost entirely down her throat. And the caprine's body did its best to claim the feline as its meal.
"That's enough, let me go!" His roommate's instincts were now kicking in, realizing he was actually being devoured by the goat as he began to struggle. His arms flailed, trying to figure out how to free his body from the downwards suction... until Vesper grabbed both of them. "Huh?!"
Tigress had previously told him that this might have happened. To prevent any issues, she'd instructed him to shove those hands behind his back, into her throat, in order to hold them in place just with her own body, without ropes or anything. So the binturong, now standing behind Matt, joined the two tan paws by the wrists, and carefully slipped them past the goat's upper lip. He studied the unnatural enlarging of the opening, and acted in sync with the audible swallows to avoid any issues like bites or muscular cramps. Another gulp demonstrated that the hands were locked in place, so Vesper moved onto the next step.
The bearcat circled back to the caracal's front, tuning out from the prey's bickering to grab his ankles. The half-bent legs were also shuffling to be freed without much success, but they weren't in a great position to be swallowed down in the first place. Vesper would solve this by tucking them near the cat's chest, curling them up with his knees right under his chin, and then point those toes downward to their destination. Matt was flexible enough to handle like that, and the top of his constricted feet now rubbed on the goat's tongue.
With how slippery and busy it was, the viverrid was struggling to fit the limbs in the right spot, hindered by his roommate's thrashing. Tigress was attempting to coordinate to accommodate the feet into her, or at the very least, trying to wriggle her own tongue around to make room underneath. With another swallow, however, it was clear that the space was getting too tight, now that the mass pushing against the back of her throat was substantially bigger than just Matt's tail.
Vesper kept at it, pushing the legs closer to the rest of the body, with just enough force to tilt the caracal slightly backwards... and 'glk!' The toes fit under his body, over the tongue. They were now headed towards the throat that was already stretching beyond its normal capacity, and the cat was slipping into the pipe at a snail's pace.
"No... stop! I don't want this!" Matt plead desperately over the loud swallows from the throat and growls from the stomach. "I-Is this some prank or bet? You want to embarrass me?! Please, I can give you money, w-w-we can do a different prank... Anything you want! J-Just...stop this!" He had a moment of realization. "Wait, is this because you said I was a bad roommate? I-I'm trying to get better, I am! I did the thing you asked. Please, dude, tell her to let me go!"
The other carnivore simply looked the gluttonous goat in the eyes, before reciting the words she'd asked him to say. "Y-You're just her food now..."
Before Matt could complain any more, he brought his palm to the caracal's face, covering his mouth while pushing him slightly faster into hers. It was surreal...like watching a video of a snake swallowing its catch, but it was actually there, inches away. And he could feel the prey's warmth and fur on his hand. It wasn't simply happening in front of him, he was causing it to happen. He probably could even change the outcome still, if he put his mind and body to it... But he wanted the goat's idea to succeed. And it wouldn't be long before it did.
A loud rip snapped him out of it, and he was concerned that something had gone horribly wrong. Matt was mostly in shock, but not showing any pain, and neither was Tigress. But looking at the side of her back teeth, he saw a torn piece of white fabric stuck between the molars. The caracal's underwear likely got stuck there and couldn't withstand being stretched that far. Vesper tried to pull it out and remove it, but instead it slipped and got launched into the throat, like a rubber band being stretched and released. It would end up in the stomach all the same.
The caracal managed to shake off the hand from his face, and begged. "It's t-too tight... I d-d-don't wanna be food..." Most of his body was inside of the caprine's digestive system, bulging her throat out incredibly. The outline of his feet could be seen from the front, and the tongue tasted his knees thoroughly. The continuous progress was now limited to each individual swallow, the ingestion happening over tiny jerks of the body sinking deeper.
But his face was still outside, bearing an expression of fear. The caracal could have yelled for help – hoping that someone else would rescue him –, but maybe his pride was louder than his instincts still. Was he afraid to be seen like this? Vesper brought his hand to the top of Matt's head, but he didn't push down on it again. He simply brushed the tan fur, and the words came out of the viverrid's mouth spontaneously. "Give in. Let it happen."
Tears promptly traveled over the black markings around his eyes, and the cat whined quietly. Judging by how far in he was, his butt must have been in Tigress's stomach already. With the goat's palate now looming just above his neck, he had all but accepted his fate. She could do the honors on her own, Vesper thought, so he put some distance between himself and the two, and watched silently. There was nothing more for him to say.
The goat herself had resisted the urge to simply push the food in until now, but her stomach wouldn't wait any longer. Her hands aimed indiscriminately at whichever remaining part of Matt was easier to reach, pressing face and shoulder and what-not into the depths of her maw. His entire being having been tasted, compacted, drenched, devoured... It was almost over.
His final bits were all in her tongue's reach. His long distinct ears now bent in her maw, and he'd closed his watery eyes to avoid getting saliva on them. Tigress tried to close her mouth too early, and to Vesper, it looked like she was softly chewing on the caracal as if he were cud. Matt simply whispered the same word over and over. "Please... Please..." The sounds were drowned out by the loud swallowing, until the chamber successfully closed over his face, muffling any pleas to the outside world.
Tigress had done what had seemed impossible half an hour ago. The entire caracal, consumed right then and there. His shoulders compressed tightly in her throat, bulging visibly from the outside, headed towards an even tighter chamber. Her lips and cheeks were returning to their normal size as the cat's head started to leave her mouth and enter her esophagus. She weakened her swallowing, if only to savor those final moments as that last chunk of wriggling meat made its final descent. The binturong saw an outline of Matt's face – or at least, the peak caused by his snout – appear under her skin for a few moments, before disappearing behind her chest.
"Y-Y-You actually did it...! Unreal..."
"...ulp...! Ahh..." She swallowed one final time. It was done, then. She flopped back to sit on the couch, and Vesper circled to face her belly. The caracal was nearly her size, but it was hard to tell like this. The goat very clearly sported a sizable bulge, squeezed into a tight ball under her toned abs. It might've looked as if she had swallowed a large basketball, if only it had writhing limbs trying to push out in that compact space. "I really... I really needed that." Her breath was short, revealing how spent she was from consuming the feline. Tigress's hands massaged the restless meal.
"You just ate him...like you said!" The bearcat was still in shock, his prehensile tail flicking softly.
"He's filling up my first stomach– urp, excuse me! I can feel his warmth and fur, too... Can you hear him?" Vesper got closer to her, trying to pick out any sounds that weren't gurgles. It...sounded like a whimper, perhaps. But it was interrupted by a soft cry that he could barely make out: 'let me go... let me go...'. He stepped back with trepidation. It was amazing and terrifying. Tigress spoke to herself. "He'll learn his place soon enou– Ugh...I think I'm–"
Her face looked like she was about to retch. She turned her head away and belched, and a white fabric, drenched in gnarly-looking digestive fluids, landed on the ground next to the bearcat. Matt's torn underwear, which had found its way out somehow. Her stomach's rumbling had now gotten quiet.
"I'm sorry about that... In hindsight, I should've asked him to take that off. This is better." She leaned back to show off the accomplishment currently bloating her striped abdomen. "Damn I was hungry... I could really use some sleep now, Vespy." Tigress's hand groped the bulge's knee, and looked at the binturong teasingly. "I'm sure your roommate won't mind if I stay with you for the night~..."
"Umm... I-I was gonna ask," Vesper queried meekly, "when are you going to let him out?"
She crossed her arms. "Let him out...? Why would I do that? We're better off like this."
"B-But I thought this was supposed to teach him a lesson...!"
"I said that this was part of a diet I'm doing, haven't I? And you told Matt yourself: He's just food, now. And food belongs right here. That's his lesson...so he's staying in there to learn it."
"I-I-I never agreed to this...! What if he's hurt, or– or–"
The goat sighed as she stood up, seemingly unfazed by the extra weight. 'Way to ruin the mood', she whispered to herself under her breath. "If you're gonna act like this, I'm just gonna go home."
"Wait, you can't–"
Tigress simply grabbed her overcoat, not bothering to put it back on. She walked to the door, opened it, and looked back. The binturong was still frozen in place, staring disconcertingly at her large, writhing stomach. "I'll see you at work tomorrow."
She waited for a response, but as none came, she left. And then it was quiet, really quiet. It felt like it all had happened ages ago, and the binturong simply stood there in shock. When he returned to his senses, Vesper rushed to the door, but nobody was on the corridor. He shut it quickly, then slumped against the wood. He felt his tail brush on something wet. His eyes darted to that sorry piece of clothing on the floor that belonged to the caracal, the spit and acids on it being soaked into the carpet.
Was Matt...truly gone forever?

The whole night, the thought of it haunted him. He'd only chosen to do this to teach him a lesson, Vesper reasoned! But it had gone too far... However, this seemed to be the goat's plan all along. He wanted to call Tigress, and try to reason with her, but he didn't have her number, and contacting any coworkers for her number might have aroused suspicion.
After all, this had to be a crime, right? At the very least, it was kidnapping, or worse... No, he couldn't even bear the thought of it. But he was still an accomplice of whatever-crime-it-is! The viverrid had watched enough police dramas to know not to leave a trail of evidence behind– Wait, what was he even thinking about?! That's what a criminal would think, and Vesper was innocent...right?
He tried to trick himself into believing that he hadn't done anything wrong, and it almost helped him get through the night... If he didn't remember – right before dozing off – that someone who knew Matt might still come looking for him in social media. Crap!
The next hours were spent finding Matt's phone among the discarded clothing in the living room, charging it back to life, and then intently staring at the lock screen while lying in bed.
